The subject of love and the affects it has on the brain is a concern that interests me. I once read an article and study that said “Love has the same affects on the brain as cocaine; it affects the left hemisphere of the brain.” My research question is, ‘Is love a form of drug that has a dopaminergic affects the brain.’

My first reason for designing this research proposal is that love is one of the deepest forms of human endeavor and is essential for human existence, without it one will cease to exist. Second, Love is a complex state involving chemical, cognitive, and goal –directed behavioral components. Finally, love has been intertwined and correlated with passion that has a motivational goal directed desire.
